Get to know us
At Eat Myt, we believe food should be part of the climate solution, not the problem. That’s why we created Myt products, to offer a planet-friendly protein option. Our journey started at university, where we explored future proteins and stumbled upon blue mussels - and we were hooked! With support from the university ecosystem, we developed our signature Myt Balls through various courses and discovered even more ways to enjoy blue mussels like our Myt Snacks. Today, our passion for transforming the food system is stronger than ever. ​

Ecothrophelia
Our journey started with the future food innovation course, where we developed the first MVP of Myt Balls. We won the Danish Ecotrophelia competition and took our idea to the European stage!
Launching the company
What started as a university project became something bigger! We officially established Eat Myt to bring blue mussels to more plates in a delicious and approachable way.
Aarhus Food Festival
We hit one of Denmark’s biggest food festivals, sharing over 1,400 samples of Myt Snacks! The response? Exciting, delicious, and full of curiosity for blue mussels.
Cooking up more
We’re cooking up new collaborations, planning our next steps, and working to get Myt products on even more plates. Stay tuned, there’s more to come!
Meet the team
We’re a small but passionate team on a mission to make blue mussels a go-to protein in the Nordics. With backgrounds in food science, business, and design, we bring different skills to the table, but we share the same goal: transforming the food system for the better. Along the way, we’re lucky to have incredible mentors and supporters who help us turn our vision into reality.
